FC Humber United are delighted to confirm that First Team Manager, Mark Maspero, has penned a 3-year contract with the club, seeing his time with FC Humber extended until 2024.
Club Chairman, Richard Smales, is delighted to confirm that Mark has penned a long-term deal with the club. In discussion, Richard had this to say; “Mark has really bought into what we are striving to achieve here at FC Humber United and to have someone of Mark’s coaching quality and passion to succeed is exactly what we want at the club.
This deal offers the club stability and allows us to focus on the long-term aspirations and development on and off the pitch, whilst also knowing full well that delivery of the plan is essential to progressing the club to where we want it be.
Furthermore, I am delighted to have Mark with us on this journey as we work diligently and plan ahead, for the start of the upcoming 2021/22 season.”
In further discussions on the news from the club, FC Humber’s Director of Football, Marc Brown added his thoughts on Mark signing; “It’s really important that we start as we mean to go on and having stability at all levels of the club is really important to us. Mark’s experience, qualifications and desire to succeed has been evident in recent months. It’s important that Mark and the rest of the management team know that they have our backing, we understand what we
want to achieve isn’t going to happen overnight and it will take time, but we have the belief that we will get to where we want to be with Mark leading us on the pitch.”
Further to the club news, manager Mark Maspero added his thoughts on getting the deal done and moving forward with the club; “I’m very excited to sign long term with FC Humber United. It’s refreshing to be involved with a forward thinking, honest club with the desire and passion to grow both the first team and the club brand. It’s inspiring to see the Chairman and Director of football putting in so much of their time and effort, proper blood, sweat and tears, to make this club the biggest in the region. It was an easy decision for me to make. Having the security of 3 years allows me to be able to instil my game model and a club ethos. It also allows the players to buy into what we all want to achieve. To be successful we all need that continuity.”
All at the club are looking forward to getting started this summer in preparation to the new season and Mark and his coaching team are excited for what lies ahead.
