In conjunction with recent news outlining the club’s ground share with fellow NCEL side, Selby Town, FC Humber United aims to further build upon its strong foundations and progress as a football club. This latest announcement from the club, is a piece which will play a huge part in our continued growth over the coming months and years. Therefore, Club Chairman, Richard Smales is delighted to announce the launch of FC Humber’s own Community Foundation – FCHU Community CIC.

We extend an opportunity to all, in viewing the Clubs wonderful Community Foundation section on the clubs official website: https://fchumberunited.co.uk/foundation

In discussion, Richard shared his thoughts on what will prove a grand endeavour moving forward; “This is an important part of our clubs ongoing growth strategy, engagement with the local and wider community is key for us to build an ever growing audience and fan base. Marc has worked extremely hard to push this through over the past few months and I am excited to see what the results will be in time, as with everything we are doing at the club we know it’s not going to be an instant fix and this will take time to build however we are certainly on the right pathway to achieving our long term aims.”

In further discussions on this recent news from the club, FC Humber’s Director of Football, Marc Brown shared his views; “Continuing the Club’s motto of being more than just a football club, the Community Foundation will, in time, become one of the most important parts of our Club. When I first discussed the Club’s ambitions with Richard and Mark, we obviously discussed what we wanted to do on the pitch but there was an early understanding it was just as important that we have ambitions to achieve something positive off the pitch as well. The aim of the Community Foundation is to provide a service in many areas of society and I feel, even more so after the pandemic, that there are many people in the area that will need support and a focus. We want to become a Hub where everyone feels welcome and I am looking forward to us being able to release more details and seeing the impact we can have.”

Off the back of the momentous news coming from the club, we are pleased to offer an introduction to the FCHU Community CIC:
