On Internation Women’s Day 2021 #IWD2021 we can showcase our Head Therapist, Heather Robinson who has recently joined our club in preparation for the 2021/22 season.

How did you get into football?

After growing up with my dad, other family members and 3 boy cousins who are football obsessed, football was all we played and watched in the summer holidays. With that, I have always been interested in the sport, I have never been involved in football really but this opportunity I have with FC Humber United is great.

What’s the best thing about being involved in football?

Every game is different, every player has their own way of playing and I think that will always make a great team. Team work is key in life and if we have that we will go far!

What is your ambitions in work?

My ambitions are to hopefully have my own sports therapy clinic and to hopefully continue in the football industry.

What made you get into sports therapy?

I’ve always been interested in sports and now that I have studied further into the sporting industry it has made me focus on the sports therapy side of things such as rehab, sports massage and mobilisation.

What is your background in education and current studies?

I have a Diploma in sports coaching and development, a foundation degree in sports therapy and currently finishing my final year in BSc Sports Therapy.

All at the club are proud to have Heather on board with us and once football returns we are looking forward to Heather becoming a very important part of the football management team for this coming season and beyond.
