FC Humber United manager Dave Haley offers his post match thoughts following our defeat to North Ferriby

“We didn’t get the result we wanted but the performance was very positive. Our three new signings all played very well and contributed in a much improved defensive performance. Gary Lumley was fantastic at the back with Jack Durkin and our skipper Craig Allen put in another great shift with new signing George Cull beside him in midfield. Our Gk, Dave Howard also put in a great performance.

In possession Brandon Burke had a great game in a more attacking role than normal and Szymon was a constant threat down both the flanks.

All in all, we deserved at least a point from the game but once again the decisions went against us. One very harsh penalty for an hand ball and one not given to us for a foul inside the box.

On a positive note the team is progressively getting better and if we perform like this each week the results will come.”

Next up we make the trip to face league leaders Hallam FC on Saturday 8th January.
