FC Humber United will hope to make Landlords, Selby Town pay this Tuesday, as they go in search of their third win in four.

Humber ground share with Selby at the Fairfax Plant Hire stadium and so both teams will be well-accustomed to the surroundings in this unique occasion.

Being the away side, Humber will occupy the away dressing room for this fixture and Selby will be using the home dressing room.

Humber manager David Haley is keen to keep Humber’s good recent form going, but ultimately knows the weather conditions is out of his control.

“After some good recent form, I was gutted that our midweek game against Parkgate was called off and now Rainworth at the weekend. But the games are coming thick and fast as we go again on Tuesday against Selby”.

Haley is well aware of the task at hand on Tuesday, facing a side which have everything to play for this season.

Selby sit sixth in the league, only out of the playoffs on goal difference.

Despite the difference in points total this season between the two sides, Haley remains optimistic due to Humber’s performance levels over the last month.

“In our last four games we have won two, kept one clean sheet, conceded only 0.75 goals and scored 1.75 goals and as a result we have gained six points. We now need to keep this good run going till the end of the season”.

However, these statistics could not be further from the goal averages set between Selby and Humber this season.

A phenomenal 20 goals have been shared in the two meetings, between the two sides this season. So expect goals galore under the lights this Tuesday.

In both matches Selby have gotten the better of Humber, firstly in a 7-3 win in preseason and then in a 6-4 win in the league.

Humber striker Louis Blackwell has scored four times against Selby this campaign but his ongoing calf injury may prevent him from extending his scoring record against them.

Humber are not averse to facing sides in form recently and Selby are no different. They have only lost one match so far this year in eight matches.

This contest has the look of a mouthwatering affair, with both sides having everything to play for at the top and bottom of the league.

Make sure to come down and get your Tuesday night football fix this midweek as the lads get closer and closer to getting out of the drop zone.
