In a new and exciting football development partnership, FC Humber United and Hemingbrough United are to join forces and work together to enhance the football pathway for players at both clubs.
Following the success of our recently launched Tiny Tots sessions which are held at Hemingbrough United each Sunday morning, discussions have quickly advanced to work together on a senior football level too. Over the past week, Marc Brown our Director of Football, has been in discussions with Harry Jackson (Hemingbrough First Team Manager) and the Hemingbrough club committee to map out a long term strategic plan that will benefit both clubs not only this coming season but into the future too.
Commenting on the latest partnership, Director of Football Marc Brown “This is another positive step for the club and one that all parties will benefit from. We wanted to create a clear and achievable pathway for players from the tiny tots all the way through to the senior section. Discussions with Harry and everyone at Hemingbrough have been productive and positive from day one. It’s been clear there is a real appetite for everyone to work together so we can all succeed. I’m looking forward to see this partnership grow. We have some exciting ideas going on in the background which we will hopefully be able share in the near future”
Harry Jackson, Hemingbrough United First Team Manager comments “Hemingbrough United are delighted to be linking up with FC Humber United. Both clubs share the same ambition of trying to develop young footballers from junior level through to seniors. Now with this partnership there is a clear pathway for players from our juniors to go on and play at a semi professional level. This will definitely benefit both clubs and all at Hemingbrough United are looking forward to working with FC Humber United”
As an ever growing club, FC Humber United are more than aware of the requirement to build strong links with other clubs but most importantly within all our Partner Clubs we have to integrate a pathway and route for players to achieve playing at a higher level. Through our latest connection with Hemingbrough United we are able to begin this process immediately whilst also allowing our First Team Manager, Mark Maspero to share his coaching knowledge & skillset across the two clubs.
FC Humber United Chairman, Richard Smales comments “I know Marc has been working hard to secure a partner club and we feel that Hemingbrough offers the perfect opportunity to begin this journey together ahead of the 2021/22 season. We are extremely pleased that following the success of our Tiny Tots sessions we can expand this partnership to the senior section too. It will be an exciting time to see how this partnership develops over the coming months and I am sure both Marc & Harry will get the best out of the connection to benefit both clubs both on and off the pitch.”
We look forward to working with everyone at Hemingbrough United over the coming football season and beyond.
