Ahead of the imminent commencement of the Northern Counties East Division One season, FC Humber United are delighted to announce the club’s Captain and Vice-Captains ahead of our Pre-Season campaign. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we call upon Kevin Simpson as Club Captain, with Liam Mulligan and Cameron Hall accommodating FC Humber’s Vice-Captaincy role.
Moving forward as a club, we very much look forward to Kev leading the team through the coming season, utilising his extensive knowledge of the game combined with his commanding presence on and off the pitch. With Liam and Cameron engaged in their vice-captaincy roles, supporting the skipper through their own personalities and leadership styles, FC Humber United are confident on having the right mix leading the club going forward.
Upon the announcement from the club, FC Humber’s Skipper Kev Simpson offered his thoughts for the Captaincy; “It really has been a tough decision between the pair of them. The Gaffer and myself have had long conversations in which we just couldn’t separate them. Both of them bring different personalities and leadership qualities that we need for the upcoming season. One thing is they demand 110% on that pitch and I couldn’t ask for better vice captains to lead the boys into what will be a hard season for us.
Liam ‘Mully’ Mulligan is a great lad to have around. Sets an example to the other lads with his attitude both on and off the pitch. Will be a huge influence on the young lads we have in the squad and who want to make it at this level with his experience.
Cameron ‘Cammy’ Hall is another one who demands high standards on and off the pitch. For a kid so young, he has all the makings to be a great skipper in the future and someone who will be a great personality for the season ahead.
Overall I am extremely delighted both have agreed to support me this season.”
